you would think

that an average university student would know proper conduct and conversational ethics.

well, at least, more proper than the situation discussed below.
i am not sure if proper is the correct adjective in this scenario.

was on A2 bus after PC1432 test. sat on the second last row in the bus. beside me was a guy from C. In the last row were a group of people from the country I, guys and girls included. Some of them were standing near the rear exit of the bus, making up a cohort of 7 or so 'I's.

As usual they were a chatty lot. The whole bus could hear them. Their laughter and speech travelled through the air into everyone's ears. Loud and clear, very spirited.

I could sense the C guy begin to frown, looking back at them with an indirect glance and shaking his head. Obviously he was disturbed and appalled by the noise levels the 'I's were making.

5 minutes later into the ride, he couldn't bear it anymore. He turned around suddenly and interrogated one of the 'I's rather rudely: "So, why are you all so excited? are you getting full mark??"

Of course birds of the same feathers support each other. One of them replied: "Of course she is going to get full marks! She is very smart!" I could detect a strong drgree of sarcasm (albeit against the Chinese guy) in her voice and tone.

Then the Chinese guy fought back: "Then why are you all so happy and excited? Are all of the rest of you going to get full marks?"

Then a I guy replied back:"Of course we are happy! We are from India, and there is 1 billion of us, DUDE!" in an intimidating tone.

After that all I hear was the 'I's conversing with each other in their dialect that only they themselves understand. I presume they were ejeking the C guy. God knows how they were ejeking him.

I could also notice that the 'I' people use words like 'fXXK','puXXy' VERY VERY frequently in their conversation with each other. I couldnt really comprehend what they were trying to proof....perhaps trying to tell the whole world that they are modernised and westernised. Bah. Westernised? Maybe. Just a little bit because they are still 'I's. Modernised? ABSOLUTELY NOT, from their words and acts, they do not reflect how a modern man should behave: careful with words, tolerant, sensitive and mature.

This wouldnt have happened if:

1. The guy irritated was more tolerant of others' conduct and behavious. I mean, as humans, there is nothing wrong with expressing positive feelings such as happiness and excitement, apetah lg slepas test yg amt mengerikan tu?

2. The Instigators should not have tried to intimidate the Chinese guy with words like "there are a billion of us...". I mean, wth? Trying to assert their authority over others just by outnumbering other people? Trying to intimidate others and make people fear you? Get a life u punks.

You could just wonder, what good does it do, if a person is a top scholar, smart academically and blessed with a good brain, if he doesnt have good manners and conduct? Well I am not perfect either (means I am not jealous of them) but at least, I won't stoop low and talk in that way.

Imagine if I talked like that to the 5B gang or any other of my Mech friends.

I would be killed and slaughtered. LOL.
