This morning got an SMS that really surprised me pleasantly.
Sis got a new job helping out the refugee resettlement for the UNITED NATIONS!
she didnt expect to pass the interview. But by God's grace she did it! And now she finally got a job that she really wanted to do, and to lead a life she has always wanted to lead. She had been having a hard time as an accountant, it is not what she wants..
Contrary to what people think, working for United Nations is not getting a measly pay and devoting all your life for the cause of goodwill and charity. The pay is well, higher than my sister's accountant job, and it is non-taxable because UN is an NGO.
And what's more, Dad was happy for her too! So happy he even paid off the laptop loss for her.
And I am also so happy for her. :)
Been feeling out of touch with Him these few weeks, due to heavy workload and also some other problems. But this morning, here He comes, presenting me with a good news, and reminding me about His Presence, Power, Grace and Glory by blessing my sis with a job that she enjoys.
God works in awesome and wonderful ways by weaving his wand of magic, often at the times we least expect it, in many areas of our lives.
Its good.....its good~ :)

isnt it suppose to be non-taxable because its a non-profitable organizaton?? a money making business corporation is also an NGO, rite? i might be wrong...

Thats what my sister told me. Never thought about it but what you said seems to make sense. LOL
haha. last time i had a church member who 'worked' for UN also. he was actually supposed to be a volunteer onli. but his boss gave him quite an amount of 'allowance' that was more like a pay. lol.
but after that he got a job offer for some engineering company from germany. he went there to work for a few mths b4. damn nice lor. their company car there are all BMWs wan. samo highway no speed limit or smtg lidat. sibeh syok he drive BMW for work purposes samo can speed. ><
