Randomly written.....
....Have been listening to Jamie Cullum these few days. Feel that his music is really light and easy. The beat is really fantastic! One particular song, "Mind Trick" always makes me wanna grooooooooooove to the beat. Jamie, you rock!
Played pool with buddies yesterday night, Yahoo! pool that is. Took me quite some time to figure out how to play. Why am i so blur? =.=
Have been going out quite a lot too. In fact I met up with primary school friends, Form 5 friends, Form 6 friends.. realised that many of them changed a lot, some of thm have become pregnant with children already, a few of them are married already, a few of them not studying anymore. Well, there is also this prevalent trend, that is as time goes by, the group of friends we always hang out with currently have the most things in common with ourselves. Despite our differences, I have frens that r still willing to meet up for a cuppa tea and even dinner.... Which can't be a bad thing.
And how about my diet regime? Have been exercising in this trend: 2 days, then rest one day, then 2 days, then rest... it doesnt seem to be so effective. Could it be hiking Gunung Lambak is more effective for me? Could it be that swimming is the best for me? Diet wise I have cut down on the amount of rice in my meals, only have the odd supper once in a while. Have been eating a lotta apples also..in case you guys didnt know, I am a sucker for apples. Red apples, with the skin on. I dunno why I almost never touch them in NUS. =.= I might cease eating apples...if only my family doctor is hot. only lost about 2 kilos max. =.= time to buck up...
Have been posting a lot in the MSL forum lately too. However sometimes I do get a tad annoyed by some of the questions that freshies ask. I mean, some of them should take the initiative and ask the relevant authorities about the very very minute (and most of the time minor) details that they wanna know about. Well, I just have to remind myself I was once like them, who didnt know anything upon setting foot in a foreign land. For most of the cases, I could comprehend their situation as I was once like them before. But my policy remains the same: help them whenever they need help. :)
Drove a lot this holiday. Drove during the trip and also drove to JB, this weekend might be driving again to Kota Tinggi, to attend my cousin's wedding. I havent seen most of them actually..it would be nice to see how they are. Stomach gotta get bloated again...heh. I wish to have a car in Singapore..to drive myself around the island. Would be pretty cool to do that.
Saw a documentary about Einstein..it really showcases what great things mankind can discover. Taught me about the struggles that these people actually went through, their determined belief in the things that they thought they saw, and their sheer willpower and concentration to do so. It was said that Einstein could sit down for days solving complex mathematical problems, sometimes forgetting his meals (which is something I certainly would not do) driven by his passion and instinct that what he believes is correct.
Looking forward to futsal later at 1030pm. Kinda odd time for futsal but hey, its hols and I am supposed to enjoy myself. After taking a break yesterday, it is time to sweat profusely. A friend of mine, an ardent badminton player who got tall by hitting shuttlecocks played futsal for the first time and he says that futsal is far more tiring than badminton. I can lose many litres of fluid as my heart pumps fast as I literally run non stop for an hour. It is indeed demanding physically as good leg strength is also needed to kick the ball hard. So guys, play futsal for a good workout. I am trying to promote the game here. LOL. Might post a few pics of the futsal court in the future.
I am gonna swt, not =.="" , but ... yeah, sweat!

A long overdue blog update... *wipes the dust off my blog*
have been reading up on conspiracy theories these few days, i.e things such as people claiming that the 9/11 incident was planned and the US didnt do anything about it and that the lunar landing by man is the century's biggest hoax. I dont really know whether there is anything wrong in reading all these stuff, or whether is it wasting my time (which is in ample abundance anyway), but it all seems interesting to me and kinda logical and convincing when you trace and piece up all the clues presented by the "conspiracists" (at least thats how I call them) one by one and think carefully.
have been going on a diet and exercise plan since I came back from KL. Ran 6km the day before the day before, jogged (again) 4km + 80 situps the next. My back is a bit sore from running and doing sit ups. Maybe I should start swimming now. My swimming mate, Kong isnt back from UK yet until 21st of June. It is one of the reasons I suddenly feel unmotivated to go swimming, sometimes even to the point of loathing it.
just realised my previous 2 paragraphs started with "have been". it wasnt planned, honest.
Thee is a funfair in my hometown. Yeah, in this little quaint hometown of mine. They come annually every CNY but they are here this time of the year. Went there with friends just now. In the end we didnt went for any of the rides or played any of the games there. The ferris wheel was creaking. Many parts were rusting. And all of a sudden merry go rounds, bumper cars look and sound so toddlish to us. A few years ago it was childish. But this year it is toddlish. Cos I am 20 ady maybe. :)
Have been feeling SO SO SO lazy these few days. I am so lazy that I dun even want to put the V for Vendetta DVD into the player to watch it. Lets see if any of you guys can top my laziness. I know one gal is gonna beat me in this; she slept until 5pm in the afternoon. ( I know you will read this! :P )
And it is 4:14am now,I better go doze or else dont have the energy and right mind to swim tomorrow. The pair of new swimming trunks WILL take its maiden hug of my thighs and ass and .. you-know-what. :P

TRIBUTE..
For 9 months, u beared the pain and agony of childbearing, so willingly, just for me.
For years u took care of my needs.
From when i was a newborn child, to a toddler, to a kid, to a teenager.
When i was a kid and i was sick, u were the one who took care of me and nursed me to health without complaining.
The fateful day I knew that you had cancer, an arrow pierced into my heart. You and dad even tried not to let me know about it. I ran into the toilet, tried to hold back my tears but couldnt do so.
There is a possibility that all this was caused by years and years of working and toiling for the family. The fatigue...
Not to mention, the rough hands from washing the dishes.
The late nights you stayed up ironing the clothes for the family.
I helped out in the daily household chores, but still, the things you did were a thousand times more than what i did. Yeah, over all the years, that certainly is not exaggerating.
Life away from home taught me an made me realise how wonderful mothers are, not only you, mummy, but the same goes for other mums in this world, for what they have done for their children.
Yesterday, I thanked Him for placing all the people in my life, an important part of moulding me into what I am today, with His pair of loving hands, mum, I thought of you.
To all the mummies (not of the Egyptian and in tomb variety XD), HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY.

reflections and happenings @ H.O.M.E ...
Met up with johwyn and wei chuan after quite some time. went to the flats for yam cha session. was interesting to hear what johwyn says about everything under the sun. talked about singapore, talked about malaysia, talked about people we met.
The projection TV at the yam cha place never fails to show the audience and lights up the place with an indescribable atmosphere. It seems like the projection tv had been there since a million years ago. Saw 3 kids, two boys and a girl about the age of 4 to 5 arranging chairs for themselves and sat themselves in front of the TV. They grabbed each other, giggled, laughed and frolicked around with each other, toddlish behaviour nonetheless, innocent to romantic love. Just at that moment, I thought to myself quietly, how nice would it be, if I had a DSLR to capture and encapsule the scenes in the eternal and never failing memory of still images. Plus an effect of black and white would make the pictures look extra meaningful and nostalgic. I guess everyone has a photographer in them.
Went jogging this afternoon. Sun was blazingly hot but I still had enough willpower to lift up my butt from the chair, put on my jogging shoes and drove myself to Taman Tasik, the traditional site for Kluangite joggers. The stamina that I used to have in relative abundance has deserted me somewhat, but thankfully not completely. I find running a full length of the circuit harder; used to run about 4 rounds but only managed to run 1 .5 rounds today. Why? Because i LOST MY CARKEYS when I was jogging. Didnt know that the old Adidas shorts I was wearing had a small hole in the pockets. The car keys had nothing attached to them and I couldnt hear its jingle as it slipped out of my pocket. I discovered what had happened when I was in the toilet; hands felt my poclets but to my horror nothing was in there. NOTHING. My heart was really trodding on its toes then, as I ran another half a round and examined the floor for the presence of the car keys. I gave up soon afterwards as I couldnt find it. A good samaritan was on a motorcycle and volunteered to help me find by riding along the full length of the circuit. I waited and hoped for good news that he would being the car keys back. NOTHING. Thank God I met my form 6 teacher and pinjam his handphone to call back home and tell dad about the news, and phoned Wei Chuan and asked for his favour to take the spare keys from my dad. Everything turned out all right in the end. Thankfully. (a thing to note: the fella that help me find the keys on a motorbike was an indian. when he asked me "cari apa?" i replied "kunci kereta..". On hindsight, kunci means manhood in Tamil. I wondered if he did snigger quietly to himself when i said kunci. heh..then he rode one round in his bike to help me find (my) kunci. Then cannot find (my) kunci. Samo i told him got 2 kunci. Go figure. )
Took dad to the clinic after he discovered blood oozed from the operation wound. The operation has made my dad skinny, perhaps a sign of old age and that the healing of a massive wound saps too much energy out from my dad. The wound was sewed together by the delicate hands of the surgeon, and it grazed three quarters of his anterior. I guess a gash as deep as that would take quite some time to heal. I shuddered a bit as dad described the operation process to me and pictures floated into my mind. lets just say that I pictured a massive cleaver ploughed into the middle of his chest and then drawn downwards.
Thats all for the day. A day of laughs, of logic, of reminiscence, of reminder of God, of many thoughts, of fun and of catching up with people dear to me.

Once upon a time..
Once upon a time, there was a guy, boy meets girl, girl meets boy, boy loves the girl dearly, he couldnt bear to see the day when some other guy hold that girl's hand, but he couldnt muster up enough courage to let her know, because he had felt the terrible pain of rejection by other girls in the past before, which might be the main reason why that guy tends to trot too carefully and think too much along the path of love.
He wants to be the best boyfriend to this girl that he loves so much.
He wants to be someone whom the girl can talk to, 24/7/365.
He cares for the girl, altho he doesnt show it, because he is too shy to do so, and once again, could be related to the fact that he has tasted the bitter pill of rejection before and dare not risk it.
He also misses the girl, and wants to see her every day, and thought of her before and after he sleeps. He dreams about her in his sleep, but the next day when he wakes up,he feels that the dream is so real to him, and yet it always seems like a dream unreachable when he thinks about it for the third or fourth time due to many circumstances.
He always realises the girl is the one that he wants to be side-by-side with, even though he knows her weaknesses and imperfections, yet he still overlook them and loves her, and asks himself, do i really like this girl? His heart answers a resounding yes, everytime he queries himself, time after time, month after month. and everytime this happens, it only serves as a reminder to him that he is truly lucky to meet a girl like her, and he smiles to himself sweetly in his heart.
He thinks of dropping hints to her that he likes her, but then, wary of the fact that she knows about it and will start to avoid him because of one feeling: awkwardness. Yet, he thinks that (sometimes) telling her might be the better option, rather than letting this drag on and on.
He thinks of all the romantic ways to convey the message of adoration and admiration for her to her, but then everytime he abandons the idea because he knows that life isnt a drama, where those romantic ways always would work like a charm. Everytime reality strikes him, he recoils back from what he is about to do, planned or unplanned, impulsive or after consideration.
*--goes off to sleep.
I think it would be hard for me to sleep tonight.
Really.
I wonder why.
Hmm......

Man Yoo kena spanked by AC Milan T_T
Kaka 11th minute... *sobs*
Seedorf 30th minute.... *sob sob sobbbbbbb*
Gilardino 78th minute... T_T
FINAL SCORE: AC 3-0 MANYOO...
ManYoo didnt take their chances, Ronaldo didnt rise up to the occasion...Rooney went eating doughnuts...Kaka let ManYoo eat their boots... T_T
The post match celebrations...
sigh...ManYoo left dejected...Fergie left sad...Hope this doesnt contribute to the aggravation of the Fergie's heart condition. But on a night where quality and concentration were keys to success, ManYoo came up short..didnt perform as they could. After the devastation of Roma, everyone thought they were really up for it this season, but the experience of AC came up trumps tonight.
Oh well thats football for you. Like life, disappointment come and go..the ball(s) is (are) round...
On the bright side, lets hope there will be another epic final like the 3-3 scoreline 2 year ago..at least that would life the spirits of "neutrals" like me for the final...something inside me tells me supporting Liverpool is the right thing to do this time XD

why do i love Man Yoo
simple reasons. note that i am not one of those fair weather fans, but i supported this team through all their years of lack of success on the pitch, especially during the 2002 to 2005 years.
the comebacks that have thrilled me so throughout the years i decided too support them.
*Bayern 1-2 Man United (98/99,2 goals in the last 2 minutes of injury time to win the European Cup)
*Juventus 2-3 Man United (98/99, 2-0 down inside 12 minutes, pegged Juventus back to 2-2 at half time, then managaed to get the winning third goal through Andy Cole. And they were on their way to Barcelona. One of the greatest performances by a United team in recent years.)
*Tottenham 3-5 Man United (3-0 down at half time, away from home, then scored 5 in the second half as they overpowered Tottenham..a performance of epic proportions, although they didnt win anything that year(if i am not mistaken) .)
*Everton 2-4 Man United (yesterday. 2-0 down at half time, managed to fightback in the second half...4 big goals. simply amazing fighting spirit and winning desire.)
and also performances that just blew your mind.
*Man United 7-1 Roma (an attacking performance on a night when everything the United team touched turn into gold/goal. A night when United stake their claim as real challengers of the title, when they struck fear into every potential opponent's heart.)
*and also the narrow 1-0 wins over their greatest rivals...i dont know why, but United come out of these ties mostly with favourable results.
*Man United 3-2 AC Milan (without the quartet of first choice defenders, United conceded 2 goals but still managed to win the difficult tie against one of the top Italian sides with the magnificent Kaka. The brilliance of Rooney saved ManYoo!)
*Man United 3-4 Real Madrid. (they lost this match, but what was really impressive was the fact that they really went down fighting, the desitre of David Beckham to help Man Yoo as he came on as a substitute, and could have so easily won the tie if not for the big Brazillian Ronaldo, who helped himself to a big hattrick on that day.)
i supported the Red Devils ever since i started watching football, about 8 years ago. the times of joy and elation that they brought me over these years has been nothing short of fantastic. and I am happy for them this season as they ae still keeping the Treble dream alive by grinding out performances from their gifted but tired legs.
go on fighting Man Yoo, the lads will win at least 2 trophies this season! Hopefully!! XD

Hopefully!! XD
